Complete time-lapse video of the Sun, spanning the entire months of September, October and November 2011 as seen through the SWAP ultraviolet instrument onboard the European Space Agency spacecraft Proba-2.
David C. Montgomery takes a different approach to animation than most:
Most animators draw their films frame by frame or model and animate them using 3D software. I collect, grow, and scavenge my frames. Subtle differences (genetic variability) between one frame or specimen and the next create hypnotic, pulsing motion.
[Conveniently] plants and weeds like Oxalis pes caprae, Medicago polymorpha, Salvia lyrata, Lamium purpureum, or Ipomoea cairica are little films growing right outside my front door.
This underwater stop-motion animated video for “Bounce Bounce” by Hilary Hahn and Hauschka (by Hayley Morris) is beautifully executed and lots of fun.
